Action in Case of Accident , version 16.6.2025

Neova Terra operations

This guideline must be followed if a person/people or property are threatened. The pocket memo is updated as numbers change. In case of a crisis, see detailed instructions in IMS: Neova’s Crisis Management Guide

  3. Observe the course of the accident
  4. Inform your line manager, who will inform the management, which will take over communication responsibility

In case of fire in the peat production area

  • Stop the production from nearby bogs
  • Alert assisting units from nearby production areas
  • Ensure fire surveillance in the nearby area

Line manager

  1. Make a situation assessment
  2. Inform about the accident within one hour regardless of the time of day if the situation requires it by calling your line manager and the company’s group communication director, Susanna Inkinen, tel. +358 50 530 6245.
  3. If you cannot reach your line manager, inform their line manager.
  4. If you cannot reach the communication director, inform the safety manager and the HR director.
  5. The main thing is to report and get an acknowledgment of the report. The communication director, safety manager, or HR director will take responsibility for the situation and inform the company’s management as needed.

Agree on who is responsible for communication:

See detailed instructions in IMS: Neova’s Crisis Management Guide.

NOTE: During rescue operations, the responsibility for communication lies with the authorities. Be prepared to answer journalists’ questions: see the section on Observing the Accident. Stick to the facts, do not speculate.
