Our goal is to offer our employees, partners, and visitors a safe, healthy working environment by using methods that prevent injuries and accidents and promote well-being at work. Our key safety targets towards zero accidents in 2030 are:
- Fatal accidents, own workforce, subcontractors and rented workforce 0 accidents.
- Lost time accident frequency rate, LTAF1, own workforce, continuous reduction.
- Lost time accidents, LTA1, subcontractors and rented workforce, continuous reduction.
We aim to influence people’s mindset so that they consider health and work safety first in everything they do. We utilize our working instructions and the competence of our personnel to identify and mitigate risks and hazards.
Group Safety team leads and develops Safety First! culture to prevent safety incidents and accidents through effective risk mitigation, training and supporting business divisions and functions. To improve and harmonize our safety culture, we have focused in safety training and risk assessments. All of our employees are required to attend our internal Safety First! e-learning module. Operations employees receive additional external safety training. We are also tracking our contractors’ accidents in our operations, conducting an accident investigation together with them.
Progress in targets
In 2025, we did not progress towards our safety targets as expected. The accident frequency rate among our own personnel increased from 4.8 to 6.7. However, accidents among contractors and temporary workers decreased.
